Growing up, my parents worked for the local council, managing children's homes, residential care facilities, and day centres for people with learning disabilities. As a result, I spent a lot of time around the children and residents in these homes, often taking part in events like Christmas and Halloween parties, dinners, and other gather
Growing up, my parents worked for the local council, managing children's homes, residential care facilities, and day centres for people with learning disabilities. As a result, I spent a lot of time around the children and residents in these homes, often taking part in events like Christmas and Halloween parties, dinners, and other gatherings.
Seeing the support and care my parents provided to others had a lasting impact on me and inspired a deep desire to help people as I moved into adulthood. This motivation led me to become an FA-qualified football coach for grassroots youth football, working with both boys and girls. I took great pride in the role, particularly in the many heartfelt conversations with parents who thanked me for the positive influence I had on their children, both on and off the pitch.
In my spare time, I’m fortunate to pursue a real passion of mine, coaching individuals living with chronic illness and persistent pain. Having dealt with these issues myself for the past 25 years, I understand how difficult they can be. It's incredibly rewarding to share my experience to support others on their journey, it truly feels amazing to help.
